Two Firearms Recovered and Three Juveniles Arrested After Carjacking in Roxbury

At about 4:15 PM, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested three Juvenile males on firearm charges.

Officers responded to the area of 75 Saint Alphonsus Street for an armed carjacking. Officers were provided a description from Operations of the involved motor vehicle and three suspects who brandished firearms.

Officers observed the motor vehicle stuck in traffic in the area. Officers exited their marked cruiser and walked towards the motor vehicle. The suspects observed the officers, and all three immediately fled on foot. Officers were able to quickly place two suspects into custody, and the third suspect fled the area clutching his waistband.

A foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs. With the assistance of the K-9 Unit, officers located a firearm from inside a fanny pack from the suspect’s flight path. The firearm was later determined to be a Ghost gun with ten rounds in the magazine.

Officers searched the motor vehicle, and located a firearm from inside. The firearm was later determined to be a Ghost gun with one round in the chamber, and five rounds in the magazine. A second fanny pack was recovered from one of the suspects with a live round of ammunition inside of it.

The two 14-year-old males and the 16-year-old male were all charged with; Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Delinquent to wit; Carjacking. All three juvenile suspects are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
