Suspect Arrested with Trafficking Amounts of Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl in Roxbury

At about 11:50 AM, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Alex Mack, 25, of Randolph, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were conducting an ongoing investigation in the area of Malcolm X Boulevard and Dudley Street in efforts to address community concerns and quality of life issues. Officers observed a known male suspect to not have any active driver’s license. The officers further observed the suspect enter the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle and begin to travel down Washington Street.

Officers immediately activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. Officers approached the suspect, requested him to exit the vehicle, and was placed into handcuffs without incident. As officers began an inventory search of the motor vehicle, they located multiple plastic bags containing what they believed to be Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl. The total weight of the Crack Cocaine was approximately 24 grams, and the Fentanyl was approximately 22 grams.

Mack was placed under arrest and charged with; Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, Possession of Class A, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
