Two Arrested and Multiple Firearms Recovered After Search Warrant in Dorchester

At about 8:00 AM, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, Massachusetts State Police, and U.S. Marshalls, were conducting an ongoing investigation in the area of 5 Norfolk Terrace.

Officers were aware that the juvenile suspect, had a warrant for his arrest for Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. As officers were placing the suspect under arrest, they observed a firearm in plain view where the suspect was seated. Officers conducted a protective sweep of the apartment, and located another suspect, Michael Ross, 19, of Brockton, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Ross was recently highlighted on the Boston Most Wanted list. Officers froze the apartment pending a search warrant.

Officers executed the search warrant and recovered four firearms. A Glock 19 with a high capacity feeding device with 32 rounds in the magazine with a fixed laser sight and fitted with a Glock switch rendering it fully automatic, a Glock 27 with one round in the chamber and 11 rounds in the high capacity feeding device, a Glock 23 with a high capacity feeding device with 22 rounds in the magazine fitted with a Glock Switch rendering it fully automatic, and a Glock 23 with a high capacity feeding device with one round in the chamber and 18 rounds in the magazine. Officers also recovered two loose rounds of ammunition inside the apartment.

Both suspects were placed under arrest without incident and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court. Further charges will be sought by the Massachusetts State Police.
