Officers Recovered 4,110 grams of Fentanyl, and Multiple Firearms After Search Warrants in Dorchester

At about 5:05 PM, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, officers assigned to Drug Control Units of District B-2 (Roxbury), and B-3 (Mattapan), Quincy Police Drug Control Unit, and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested Edwardo Reynoso-Mejia, 47, of Dorchester on drug and firearm related charges.

Officers were conducting an ongoing drug and firearm investigation, and execution of search warrants in the area of 976 Blue Hill Avenue. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered approximately 4,110 grams of Fentanyl, a privately manufactured assault rifle, two privately manufactured firearms, a 50 round ammunition drum, and multiple rounds of ammunition.

Reynoso-Mejia was placed under arrest and charged with; Trafficking of Fentanyl, Three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Three counts of Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Three Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
