BPD in the Community: About 10 years ago, BPD District D-14 (Brighton) Community Service Officer Frank Hughes started the “Road to the Right Track” program for Allston/Brighton neighborhood youth. Over the years, many children from the from the community signed up to participate in a series of physical fitness challenges, healthy living discussions, and a mentoring program. Since then, the program has grown for kids who get together to work out two days a week year-round, and meet once a month to hear from guest speakers and learn about various topics including, staying away from drugs and alcohol, and making smart life choices.
