Great Work Recognized: Boston Police 911 Call-Taker Moneeka Colston Awarded for Recent Lifesaving Actions

Great Work Recognized: Earlier today, on Wednesday April 27, 2022, Katelyn Sylvia from the Massachusetts State 911 Department presented BPD 911 call-taker Moneeka Colston with an award for her lifesaving actions in the line of duty earlier this month. On Saturday April 9, 2022, Moneeka received an emergency call from an adult male victim who had inadvertently fallen into a culvert or void in a wall beneath the Back Bay MBTA Station in Boston. She remained on the line with the victim for over an hour while providing important information and guidance to the first responders and offering comfort to the victim during his time of need.

Additionally, Katelyn presented the BPD Operations Division with a certificate of appreciation in honor of National Telecommunications Week which occurred April 10-16, 2022.
