BPD Traffic Advisory: On Saturday December 4, 2021, the 4th Annual MR8K Road Race will take place in Brighton. The event will step off and conclude at Boston Landing, home of the Warrior Ice Arena, following two laps of a road course involving Guest Street, Life Street, North Beacon Street, Cambridge Street, Sparhawk Street, Arlington Street, Faneuil Street and Market Street.
While plans will be in place to allow for vehicular traffic to flow in limited directions while the event is ongoing, the BPD urges everyone to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible between the hours of 9:45 AM and 11:30 AM.
As the signature event for the Martin Richard Foundation, the MR8K builds community spirit while raising crucial funds to support the work of the foundation as well as community organizations that advance its values of inclusion, kindness, justice and peace.
