Death Investigation in the area of 27 Irma Street in Dorchester

At about 12:29 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a Shot Spotter Activation at 27 Irma Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located one (1) adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Officers additionally located two (2) victims on the scene suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Additional investigation revealed three (3) victims self-transported to local hospitals from the Irma Street incident, all suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
