BOSTON POLICE INVESTIGATE MULTIPLE INCIDENTS FROM OVER HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Investigators Appeal to Public for Information

 

Boston Police are investigating the below incidents. Detectives are appealing to the public for information on each of the incidents below:

 

Death Investigation

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 7:16pm, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person shot at60 Hollander Street. On arrival, officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased.

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 9:55pm, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot at34 Norton StreetinDorchester. On arrival, officers located three shooting victims. One male victim was transported to theBostonMedicalCenterwhere he was later pronounced deceased. The other two victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

  • On July 5, 2011 at about 1:15am, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for two people shot at245 Columbia Road. On arrival, officers located two male victims. Both were pronounced deceased.

 

Non-Fatal Shooting Incidents:

  • On July 2, 2011 at about 5:00am, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot at42 Fuller StreetinDorchester. On arrival, officers located a male suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to theBostonMedicalCenterwhere he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

  • On July 3, 2011 at about 2:30am, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot at 9 Navillus Terrace. On arrival, officer located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to theBostonMedicalCenterwhere he is listed in stable condition.

 

  • On July 3, 2011 at about 7:08pm, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a call for two people shot at72 Pierce StreetinHyde Park. On arrival, officers located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Charges are anticipated for both of the individuals involved in this incident.

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 1:14am, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a person shot at34 Ridlon Street. On arrival, officers located one victim, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wounds, who was transported to theBostonMedicalCenter

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 1:54am, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in area of Harvard Ave & Ripley Road. On arrival, officers located one victim, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wounds, who was transported to theBostonMedicalCenter.

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at 11:34pm, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of Talbot Ave & Washington Street. On arrival, officers learned that the victim had self applied to theCarneyHospitalwhere he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

  • CORRECTION: The exact location of this incident is unknown. It is believed to be possibly connected to the incident above but did not occur at Blue Hill Ave and Morton St. On July 4, 2011 at about 11:33pm, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of Blue Hill Ave & Morton Street. On arrival, officers located one male victim who was transported to theCarneyHospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

Non-Fatal Stabbing Incidents:

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 11:26pm, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a call for two people stabbed at120 Huntington Ave.On arrival, officers located two victims. Both were transported to area hospitals. One victim is in critical condition, while the other is stable. Jose Soriano, 20, ofLynnhas been charged with Assault & Battery by means of Dangerous Weapon. Police are seeking a warrant for a 2nd suspect.

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 11:33pm, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) responded to a call for persons stabbed in area of 52 Thomas Park. On arrival, officers located two victims who were treated for non-life threatening stab wounds.

 

  • On July 4, 2011 at about 11:34pm, officers responded to a call for a person stabbed at975 Blue Hill Ave.The victim, suffering non-life threatening injuries, was transported to theBostonMedicalCenter.
