Last night around 6:59PM, officers from district C-6 (South Boston) responded to 4 O St. for a breaking and entering in progress.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victims who reported that just as they arrived home, they observed an individual carrying a large object covered by a blanket walking away from their apartment. The victim then reported that they went into their apartment and noticed that they their door was kicked in and a number of items were missing from their apartment including a 42” TV, laptops and a number of other items. The victims provided officers with a description of the suspects and told them that the suspects may still be in the area since they had just been seen a short while ago.
Officers immediately started a search of the area to no avail when they were approached by a witness who stated that two suspects were observed going into 11 O Street carrying large covered items. Officers then responded to 11 O St. where they received consent from residents to search the apartment. During the search, officers recovered the items that were stolen from the basement area.
The two suspects, Brian P. Gibson, 25 and Donald W. Calway, Jr. 25 both of South Boston were arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Breaking and Entering.
