Leaving the Scene of an Accident Leaves One Behind Bars

At about 2:30am, on Sunday, June 5, 2011, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol in the area of 51 Torrey Street in Dorchester when they observed a white motor vehicle strike a parked car and then speed off. As officers got closer to the scene, officers observed damage to the motor vehicle. Specifically, officers observed two driver-side doors (front and back) bent forward in such a way that it was impossible to close them.
Officers were able to catch up to and stop the car. When officers asked the operator of the motor vehicle if he was aware of the fact that he had just struck another vehicle, the operator stated that he was but was unable to pull over right away. Officers noted that the operator was approximately two blocks away from the accident scene when stopped.

Officers spoke to the owner of the car who stated that she was exiting her car at the time of the accident. The operator was evaluated on the scene by EMS.

Officers arrested Alejandro Senise, 27, of Boston and charged him with Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Personal Injury).
