Boston Police and Mass State Police Team Up to Take Down Two Bank Robbers in Jamaica Plain

At about 3:42pm, on Monday, June 6, 2011, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a hold up alarm at 687 Centre Street (Eastern Bank). On arrival, officers spoke to bank employees who stated that a black male (described as stocky, wearing a gray sweater and gray sweat pants) entered the bank, motioned as if he was in possession of a firearm and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, suspect fled the bank on foot and was seen entering a motor vehicle being driven by a white female. Officers promptly broadcast a description of the motor vehicle over the police radio.
In short time, members of the Massachusetts State Police observed and stopped the car in the area of 1191 Boylston Street. With the car stopped, both suspects were order to exit the car. Once in police custody, both suspects were returned to the original scene of the crime for identification purposes. 

Upon seeing the suspects, several witnesses were able to positively identify the suspects. 

After being positively identified, Ryan Croke, 27, of Lynnfield and Brook Buendia, 34, of Boston were arrested and charged with Armed Bank Robbery.
