Officers Recover Six Loaded Firearms, 100 Rounds of Ammunition, Trafficking Weight of Crack Cocaine and a Bulletproof Vest
Members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit in conjunction with the US Marshals executed an arrest warrant for 22 year old Sirrocko Landrum of Mattapan for outstanding charges of assault to murder and threats to commit crime among other Federal probation violations.
Police Commissioner Edward Davis stated, “I commend the efforts of the Fugitive Unit and the US Marshals for apprehending this violent offender and predator to our community. The city today is a safer place with this individual behind bars. Any other individuals engaging in similar activity would be wise to take notice. There is no doubt that this significant arrest prevented future violence.”
On June 2, 2011, officers entered 115 Deering Road in Mattapan in search of suspect Landrum. Officers immediately gave commands for all occupants to present themselves. Two individuals exited the kitchen area with their hands in the air and were secured by officers. Officers believed that suspect Landrum was still inside hiding and began to clear the apartment. At that time, officers observed several firearms and crack cocaine in plain view.
Suspect Landrum was found hiding in the kitchen and began to struggle with officers before being placed into custody.
Officers soon secured a search warrant for the residence which resulted in the recovery of 3 Rifles, 2 semi automatic hand guns, 1 revolver, over 100 rounds of ammo, trafficking weight crack cocaine and 1 bullet proof vest.
