SNOW EMERGENCY: Mayor Thomas Menino has declared a snow emergency and parking ban which will take effect at 9:00am, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. As such, if you\’re parked on a major street, your car must be moved so that snow removal equipment can go about the business of clearing and cleaning snow from the city\’s streets and roadways. Alternate parking will be available as early as 7:00am. City residents should also take note of the following:
- Boston Public Schools will be open.
- Trash & Recycling are on a normal schedule.
- Boston City Hall will be open and all employees are expected at work.
