BOSTON POLICE ARREST MURDER SUSPECT

Homicide detectives have arrested the suspect responsible for the stabbing death of Thomas Whitley.

At about 7:55pm, on Saturday, November 6, 2010, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 60 Dearborn Street. On arrival, officers located a 30 year-old black male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced. The victim was identified as Thomas Whitley, 30, of Boston.

The homicide investigation into the murder led the Boston Police Homicide Unit and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office to develop the evidence necessary to arrest Tajuan Holloman, 39, of Dorchester.

Area B-2 Police Officers and Detectives, as well as the Fugitive Unit played a critical role in this investigation and arrest.

Holloman is expected to be arraigned today.
