At approximately 8:50PM last night, October 10, 2010, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to 1990 Columbus Ave. for a person stabbed.
On arrival, officers assisted by Boston Housing officers located the victim suffering from several stab wounds. Officers, on scene, located a witness reported that the victim was encountered on the elevator by the suspect who started patting down the victim for money. According to the witness, when the victim resisted the suspect, a struggle ensued during which the victim was stabbed several times. Another witness who was on scene during the assault reiterated the same story to officers.
Officers were able to locate the suspect in the same building within a short time and placed suspect, David Wint, 48 of Roxbury under arrest charging him with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries were his injuries were deemed serious but his condition stable.
