VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN DEATH INVESTIGATION IN THE AREA OF 531 ADAMS STREET

At about 9:28pm, on Thursday, August 12, 2010, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person or persons shot in the area of 531 Adams Street. On arrival, officers located two victims. Victim #1, a black male in his late teens, was located and observed outside the location suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Victim #1 was transported to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he’s being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The 2nd victim who was pronounced at the Boston Medical Center hospital has been identified as 30-year old, David Martins of Dorchester.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
