BOSTON POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECT RESPONSIBLE FOR FATAL STABBING IN THE AREA OF 34 LYONS STREET

At about 9:30pm, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in front of 34 Lyons Street. On arrival, officers observed a male suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Ty Yee of Dorchester.

On arrival, officers were able to locate and apprehend the individual responsible for the stabbing. Officers learned that the two men, who appear to be known to each other, had been involved in an altercation when the stabbing occurred.

Officers arrested Thanh Van Truong, 55, of Dorchester and charged him with Murder.
