FENWAY PARK BOMB THREAT PROVES TO BE UNSUPPORTED

At about 5:07pm, on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, members of the Boston Police Bomb Squad responded to 24 Yawkey Way (Fenway Park) for the report of a bomb threat. Once on scene, officers spoke to park employees who stated that a threat had been called in stating that there was a bomb in a ladies restroom. As a result of the information, a sweep of the park was conducted. Upon sweeping the park, no suspicious objects or devices of any kind were seen or collected. The park, which had yet to open, was never evacuated and the game will go on as scheduled.
