On Saturday, April 24, 2010, at approximately 2:29am, a Boston Police Officer was working a detail inside the Chow Chow Restaurant – 83 Essex Street-Boston, when a male patron entered the establishment and waited in line to place an order.
The male was in close proximity to the officer when a loud “thump” was heard. The officer looked at the floor and observed a Silver-colored firearm at the male’s feet. The male quickly bent over and retrieved the firearm and placed it into his waistband.
The Officer immediately called for additional units to respond and took hold of the suspect. The officer removed & secured the firearm from the suspect. The officer then asked the suspect if he had a valid license to carry a firearm to which he replied, “No, can I just put it in my car?” The officer replied…NO.
The weapon was discovered to be a fully loaded revolver containing six .32 cal rounds.
Officers arrested Elis Brea, 25, of Roxbury on the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
