The Fast & Furious Lands One in Jail

On Saturday, March 6, 2010, at approximately 11:39pm, Boston Police Officers assigned to Area E-18 (Hyde Park), responded to the area of 530 American Legion Highway – Wendy’s Restaurant – for a report of a large fight.

Officers arrived on-scene and observed approximately one-hundred-twenty-five (125) people and approximately fifty (50) low-rider style automobiles. The individuals and automobiles were in and around the parking lot of Wendy’s restaurant. The officers then observed two males holding firearms. The two suspects fled on foot behind the restaurant upon seeing the oncoming police presence. Additional units were called to assist in locating the suspects to no avail.

Officers were able to locate an individual who provided video footage from his / her cellular phone of various vehicles drag racing on the street prior to the arrival of the BPD. Officers reviewed the video footage and were able to locate one of the vehicles in the parking lot that was filmed racing. The operator of the vehicle was also located and admitted to his participation in the race.

Based on the information obtained, officers arrested Miguel Agramonte Morales, 31, of Revere, on the charges of Driving to Endanger and Drag Racing.

Officers seized the video footage of the various races and detectives from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) will continue to investigate the incident.
