On Sunday, January 24, 2010, at approximately 3:54pm, Boston Police Officers assigned to Area A-7 (East Boston), responded to 199 Boardman Street, in the area of Noyes Park, for a report of an armed robbery.
Officers arrived in the general area and located three (3) male juvenile robbery victims. It was learned that they were 14, 14 and 16 years of age. The victims informed officers that they were playing in the park when they were approached by a young male that pulled out a knife and demanded their money. The suspect stated, “How much money you got?…Roll your pockets.” The victims complied and the suspect took one of the victim’s cellular phone. The victim asked for his phone back which caused the suspect to lunge towards him with the knife blade pointing at him. The suspect then stated, “If you tell your mommy I will kill you.”
The suspect then fled up Saratoga Street towards Burger King. The victims were able to supply the officers with a detailed description of the suspect and numerous BPD units searched the area.
Shortly thereafter, officers located an individual sitting in Burger King with a cellular phone and knife on the table that both fit the description given by the victims. The victims were able to positively identify the suspect as the person who assaulted and robbed them.
Officers arrested a thirteen-year-old (13), white male from East Boston on the charges of Juvenile Delinquency to Wit: Armed Robbery, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife), Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (spring loaded knife) and Threats to Kill.
