DAILY INCIDENTS FOR THURSDAY, JULY 23, 2009

Robbery Suspect Located & Arrested by C-11 OfficersOn Wednesday, July 23, 2009, at approximately 5:26pm, officers assigned to Area C-11 (Dorchester), responded to the area of the Ashmont MBTA station for a report of a robbery.
Officers spoke with a male victim who stated he was walking in the area of Dorchester Avenue when he felt someone grab him from behind and spun him around. A tall, black male then threatened him with a 40 ounce beer bottle and stated, “Give me your money.” The victim handed over his money and the suspect fled on Fuller Street. The victim was able to give the officers a detailed description of the suspect and a search was then conducted.
Shortly thereafter, a tall, black male, fitting the description given by the victim, was observed sitting in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts on the corner of Bailey Street and Dorchester Avenue. As the officers approached, he stood up with raised arms and stated, “I give up.” The victim then traveled to this location and positively identified the suspect as the person who robbed him.
Officers arrested Geroad Lovett, 20 of Dorchester on the charges of Armed Robbery.
Firearm & Crack Cocaine Located During Search Warrant
On Wednesday, July 23, 2009, at approximately 5:00pm, officers assigned to the B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit, set up pre-raid surveillance of 849 Blue Hill Avenue in anticipation to executing a court ordered search warrant.
Officers observed the target of the investigation arrive and enter the residence. He quickly exited and walked to the corner store. Officers confronted the suspect and he was informed of the search warrant. The suspect was accompanied back to 849 BHA and a search of the property was conducted.
Officers located a Taurus .38 revolver within the apartment and Sixteen (16) bags of crack cocaine on the target. Officers arrested Raoul Desgrottes, 24, of Dorchester on the charges of Illegal Possession of a Class B Substance (crack cocaine) With Intent to Distribute and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Man Arrested for Possessing Counterfeit Money
On Thursday, July 23, 2009 at approximately 4:20am, a Boston Police K-9 unit was patrolling the area of 469 Blue Hill Avenue when he observed three individuals in the park. There are several city signs that clearly depict the closing time to be 11:00pm. Anyone in the park after closing time is considered to be trespassing. The officer then turned his cruiser around in order to speak with the individuals. While doing so, the men began walking out of the area. One of the individuals was observed placing an item into the rear of his pants. When the officer approached this individual he immediately reached towards his front pants pocket. The officer stopped him from doing so and conducted a pat-frisk. The individual stated, “I have a knife and I was going to give it to you.” The knife was secured and the officer continued the pat-frisk to his rear waistband. The officer then located thirty-five paper currency bills. Upon further inspection, it was determined these bills were counterfeit. The suspect was then placed into custody.
Officers arrested Bobby Mccoullum, 37 of Boston on the charges of Possession of Counterfeit Money (ten or more bills).
