At about 4:38am, on Saturday, November 22, 2008, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a person or persons stabbed in the area of 20 Dustin Street in Brighton. On arrival, officers learned that the victims involved in this incident were in the process of self-admitting themselves to the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. According to witnesses, two unknown suspects entered the above location while a party was taking place and soon after started an altercation. Witnesses say the fight spilled out into the street and when it did, the suspects stabbed three individuals. Two of the victims are being treated for non-life threatening injuries while one of the victims is being treated for life threatening injuries.Shortly after the incident, officers were able to locate the suspects wanted in connection with this incident. Officers arrested Carlos Ribeiro, 20, of Cambridge and Alex Sousa, 19, of Brighton and charged both with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
