DAILY INCIDENTS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2008

Assault at the Dunkin Donuts Drive ThruLast night around 6:59pm, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested suspects, Kerry Gates, 27 of Dorchester and charged her with Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon for an attack on a woman who was driving through the drive-thru window of Dunkin Donuts at the 845 Morrissey Blvd. in Dorchester. Her companion, Patrick O’Toole, 30, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Accessory Before the Fact.
Officers spoke to the victim who explained that as she neared the drive-thru window the suspect was backing, and feeling that the suspect did not see her, sounded her horn to alert the suspect. The victim stated that the suspect started and continued to yell at her as she neared the window. The victim purchased her items from the window as she exited the drive through was blocked off by the suspects. The female suspect then pulled her from her car and threw her to the ground and assaulted her.
Officers then interviewed witnesses who confirmed the victim’s story and reported that the female suspect attacked the victim by slamming her head on the ground, punching her about the face and the back.
Food Delivery Person Turns the Tables
About 8:38pm last night, Aril 16, 2008, officer from District D-4 (South End) responded to 1427 Tremont St./ AK’s for an armed robbery.
On arrival, officers were met by the victim and Transit police officers whom the victim first approached. Officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was robbed at gunpoint by the delivery driver earlier in the evening at the intersection of Washington ad Northampton Streets. According to the victim, the suspect who is known to him, pulled a handgun from his waist, pointed it at the victim and stated “Give me your money!” The victim gave the suspect $160.00 and then walked to the store to wait for the suspect to return from making his deliveries. The victim, upon observing the suspect return to the store, went across the street and informed Transit officers of the incident.
Officers then spoke to the suspect who reported to officers that he was robed by the victim on an earlier date of $200.00 while he was making a delivery. The suspect went on to state that when he encountered the victim on this day, he feigned like he was armed and asked the victim for his money back. The suspect went on to state that the victim still owed him $40.00 because he had robbed him of $200.00.
Officers arrested suspect, Welliston Froes, 23, of Everett and charged him with Armed Robbery. At the booking desk, officers recovered $160.00 from the suspect.
Stolen Car Suspect Arrested
This morning around 1:28am today, officers from District B-3 (Dorchester and Mattapan) were on patrol in the area of Norfolk and Morton Streets when they observed a vehicle being operated without its headlights.
Officers pulled to the side of the road when the suspect motor vehicle suddenly made a sudden aggressive move and two occupants suspects fled the suspect motor vehicle. Officers pursued the two feeing suspect and made note of their appearance as they both fled into the back yards of a nearby street. Officers followed the suspect when they heard a barking dog in the area that one of two suspects had fled. Officers responded to the back yard of that house and searched the back yard. As officer came out of the back yard, they observed one of the suspects at the front door of the house. The suspect feigned ignorance about the officers’ presence there and stated, “I was just coming out of the house.”
Officers arrested the suspect after they spoke to residents of the house and they told officers that the suspect had knocked on their door just moments before officers placed him under arrest.
The suspect, Darnell R. Pierre, 17, of Mattapan was arrested sand charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle after the car he was in was determined to have been stolen, and Malicious Destruction of Property for hitting a parked car when he fled from the stolen car..
