Conley announced today.Within the past 24 hours, Boston Police homicide detectives working in conjunction with the Special Investigations Unit, Fugitive and Apprehension Unit, and SWAT team effected the arrests of five individuals responsible for Jacobs’ May 22, 2007, homicide.

All are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
“These arrests come after more than nine months of investigation by Boston Police homicide detectives on the street and Suffolk prosecutors in the Grand Jury,” District Attorney Conley said. “It was an extremely complex set of facts with many moving parts, but these charges reflect the reality of what happened in Terrence Jacobs’ final moments.”
Commissioner Davis stated, “I would like to commend the extensive efforts put forth by the Boston Police Department and the District Attorney’s office for their relentless pursuit of justice. Their admirable work to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this horrific act will hopefully bring some measure of peace to Mr. Jacobs’ loved ones.”
Evidence suggests that Jacobs was involved in a simmering dispute with a group associated with Havelock and Wilcock streets in Dorchester. That dispute escalated on the evening of May 22, 2007, in a violent confrontation between the victim and a large group of assailants.
Boston Police and emergency medical technicians responded to the area of Havelock Street and Blue Hill Avenue shortly before 8:00 to find Jacobs suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead of his injuries.
