Yesterday afternoon around 4:10pm, officers from District C-11 responded to the area of 1443 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester for a repot of a person shot. There, officers located a 20 year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center by ambulance with life-threatening injuries where he was rushed unto surgery. The victim, after undergoing surgery, failed to stabilize and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 20 year-old Tyrone Hicks, 20, of Dorchester.
The investigation into this incident is active as the Boston Police tries to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding this shooting incident. As such, the Boston Police is urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
