BPD Investigation Update: At about 5:00 PM on Friday June 23, 2023, members of the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit with assistance from B-3 patrol officers arrested Jeffrey Pena, 33, of Mattapan at his residence on Hazleton Street. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Dorchester District Court stemming from an investigation into a shots fired incident that occurred on Sunday June 4, 2023, in the area of 70 Hazelton Street.
Through the use of multiple investigative methods and measures, detectives were able to positively identify the suspect leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Attempted Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
