BPD in the Community: Boston’s First Responders Work Together to Raise Over $10,000 for the Flutie Foundation for Autism

BPD in the Community: During the month of May, the Boston Police Department, joined by the Boston Fire Department and Boston EMS, designed and sold Autism Awareness patches and t-shirts in support of Autism Awareness Month. As a result of their combined efforts, over ten thousand dollars was raised, making this the largest donation thus far as a result of a patch project program.

The mission of the Flutie Foundation is “to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest.” Earlier this month, Commissioner Cox and Superintendent Cullinane presented Nick Saverse  (Executive Director) and Ethan Muchaud (Director of Development) of the Flutie Foundation with a check which we hope will help the foundation further that mission statement.
