Three Suspects Arrested on Firearm Charges in Downtown Boston

At about 8:45 PM, on Thursday, May 25, 20223, officers assigned to the District A-1 Anti-Crime Unit (Downtown) made an on-site firearm arrest of Donnidjy Michel, 24, of Malden, Jethro Charles, 26, of Medford, and Karten Louis, 26, of Randolph.

Officers were on patrol in the area of 8 Kingston Street when they observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark tint. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. The motor vehicle immediately pulled to left side of the street, and parked in a “no stopping” zone. The operator and one of the passengers immediately exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away.

Officers advised both individuals to return to the vehicle. After multiple requests, both returned to the vehicle, and officers immediately observed a rear passenger attempting to hide something from officers. As more officers responded to the scene, all three suspects were placed into handcuffs.

Officers conducted a pat frisk of the motor vehicle, and located a firearm inside the vehicle. The firearm was later determined to be a Glock 19X with ten rounds in the magazine.

Michel was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

Charles was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

Louis was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
