At about 8:48pm, on Friday, June 17, 2011, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 453 Blue Hill Ave. On arrival, officers located a black male in his early twenties suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, suffering life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
