At about 2:29am, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol in the area of 1165 Blue Hill Ave when they observed a black male being followed by a female who stopped chasing him in the middle of Blue Hill Ave. A few minutes later, officers observed the same male run across Blue Hill Ave and jump into a cab at the corner of Blue Hill Ave and Morton Street. Officers then observed the same female come running down Blue Hill Ave towards the cab. Seeing this, officers approached the female and asked if she was in need of assistance.
According to the female, the male suspect approached her and asked for a dollar. As she was pulling money out of her wallet, the victim says the suspect grabbed a wad of bills and took off. Officers were able to catch up to and stop the cab transporting the suspect.
The male suspect was returned to Blue Hill Ave where he was positively identified by the victim.
After being positively identified by the victim, officers arrested Alan Elmore, 39, of Weymouth charged him with Unarmed Robbery.
