‘MOST WANTED’ BREAKING & ENTERING SUSPECT NABBED BY FUGITIVE UNIT

Today the Boston Police Fugitive and Apprehension Unit along with United States Marshals and the MA State Police captured well-known burglary suspect, 44 year old Michael Harrison of Dorchester. Early this morning, the Fugitive Unit and partners located Harrison at a residence on Bowdoin Avenue in Dorchester and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants from Roxbury District Court relative to Breaking & Entering/Daytime, Placing a Person in Fear, Larceny Over $250.00 and Malicious Destruction of Property Over $250.00

On Monday, November 22, 2010, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to Cleveland St & Winthrop St. On arrival, officers spoke to a victim at Copeland Park, who stated he heard a loud bang coming from the rear of the house. He stated that he went outside to take a look and observed the back door to his girlfriend\’s apartment had been broken into. At that time, the victim observed the suspect in his girlfriend\’s living room holding his girlfriend\’s black laptop. The suspect then fled while being chased by the victim, but he lost sight of him in the area of Mt. Pleasant Ave & Fairland St.

On November 23, 2010 as part of an on-going investigation, officers were able to positively identify the suspect as Michael Harrison. Officer sought and obtained an arrest warrant from Roxbury District Court.

Harrison is potentially responsible for additional Breaking & Entering incidents on District B-2.
