At about 9:00pm, on Friday, March 11, 2011, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a pedestrian struck in the area of Dorchester Ave and Dix Street. On arrival, officers located the victim, a pedestrian, lying face down in the roadway. The victim, a 42 year-old female, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she’s being treated for life threatening injuries. According to witnesses, after striking the victim, the operator of the motor vehicle (possibly cream in color) kept on driving and did not stop to check on the wellbeing of the victim.
Detectives from Area C-11 (Dorchester) are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at (617) 343-4335.
