Sitting Duck Suspect

Early this morning around 3:52AM, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at 9 Exeter Street.

On arrival, officers were met by the victim who told officers that the suspect was sitting on his couch inside his house.  Officers entered the house and there found the suspect sitting on the victim’s couch talking on the phone. The suspect was placed in handcuffs and thereafter officers spoke to the victim about what happened to him.

The victim reported that he and his family were in their house and when they heard their alarm going off. The victim directed his family to call the police while he went downstairs to inspect house. Upon responding downstairs, the victim observed the suspect just sitting on his couch talking on the phone.

After officers placed the suspect under arrest, officers smelled d strong odor of alcohol on the suspect and formed the opinion that the suspect was intoxicated after she repeatedly made light of the situation and continually stated, “It’s no big deal, I pay taxes and have a good job.”

The suspect, Patricia Russo, 33 of Boston was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime to Commit a Misdemeanor, and Breach of the Peace.
