POLICE ARREST ONE ATTEMPTING TO BREAK AND ENTER IN BRIGHTON

At about 4:20pm, on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a black male (wearing a brown jacket and a white fleece hat) vandalizing a building at 61 Tremont Street. On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that they reported seeing the suspect forcibly attempt to enter the basement at 61 Tremont Street. 

Officers observed a broken basement window, a fractured basement door frame and a discarded broken bed frame in the area of 61 Tremont St. Officers located the suspect who was still in the immediate area.   

Once located, officers arrested Peter Lemar, 38, of Boston and charged him with Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property and Attempted Break & Entering.
