Around 6:05PM last night, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol on Walkhill St. when they were flagged down by a passerby that there was an altercation at the intersection of Walkhill St. and American legion Highway.
Officers immediately responded to the intersection and there witnessed a group of people arguing. Officers directed all parties to the sidewalk and spoke to them to determine what happened. Officers spoke to the parties and determined that the fight/argument was over the car being driven by a 15-year old suspect. Officers found out that the owner of the car had reported the car stolen on February 27 of this year after it was stolen with the keys in the ignition. The owner of the car reported that he observed the car being driven and followed the car and he and his friend confronted the driver of the car, the 15-year old girl. The suspect, during the confrontation was still behind the wheel of the car, hit the owner of the car causing him to suffer non-life threatening injuries.
The 15-year old female suspect from Dorchester was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor vehicle without Being Licensed, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon for striking the owner of the car. The suspect told officers that she was given the car by her brother.
