POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT AT 31 ARBORFIELD ROAD

At about 7:40pm, on Thursday, February 17, 2011, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 31 Arborfield Road. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that she was sitting at home when she heard what sounded like the sound of breaking glass. When she looked around her home, the victim says she observed what looked to be bullet holes in and around her residence. Specifically, the victim observed a broken window with what looked to be several bullet holes, as well as, a bullet hole in a refrigerator. A search of the area enabled officers to recover ballistic evidence inside and outside the home.    

According to witnesses, a male suspect was seen fleeing the area on foot.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact District E-18 (Hyde Park) detectives at (617) 343-5607.
