On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol when they observed what looked like an armed robbery taking place in the area of River and Massoit Streets. Specifically, officers observed three black males approach a Hispanic male and surround him. Officers observed one of the suspects, later identified as Marcus Agee, lift up his shirt to expose what officers believed to be the butt of a firearm. Upon seeing this, officers promptly approached the suspect. As officers were approaching the suspect, officers observed the suspect taking items, including a wallet, off the victim.
When confronted by officers, the suspect stated, “Here. Give him his stuff back.”
A pat frisk of the suspect enabled officers to see and seize a replica firearm.
Officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was walking by himself when the suspect approached, showed a firearm and demanded his stuff.
Officers arrested Marcus Agee, 17, of Boston and charged him with Armed Robbery
