At about 11:20pm, on Monday, February 7, 2011. Officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in the area of 185 Lexington Street in East Boston. On arrival, officers spoke to the caller who directed them towards a Hispanic male who was standing outside the location. According to the caller, the suspect was seen climbing up and through the fire escape to reach to the third floor. Once on the third floor, the suspect was seen opening and then knocking on a window. According to the suspect, he was attempting to get in touch with a friend on the third floor, but the when the friend didn’t respond to the door bell, the suspect says he decided to climb the fire escape in an effort to make contact.
Officers arrested the suspect, a 25 year-old male from Revere, and charged him with Attempted Breaking & Entering and Trespassing.
