ARMED ROBBERY IN ROXBURY LANDS ONE BEHIND BARS

At about 11:15pm, on Thursday, February 3, 2011, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for an armed robbery at the corner of Perth and Fayston Streets. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that three black males approached her, showed a firearm, knocked her down and took her wallet. After taking the victim’s wallet, the suspects fled on foot. Officers quickly broadcast a description of the suspects over the police radio.

In short time, responding officers observed an individual, walking alone, who matched the description of one of the suspects. However, when officers approached, the suspect took off and ran into a building. A search of the building enabled officers to locate and apprehend the suspect who was found hiding in the basement.

Officers arrested an 18 year-old male from Roxbury and charged him with Armed Robbery.
