At about 2:40am, on Monday, January 31, 2011, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a report of a fight in the area of 984 Bennington Street (Dunkin Donuts). On arrival, officers observed a group exiting Dunkin Donuts. According to employees of the store, the group, comprised of three individuals, entered the store, caused a disturbance but exited before police arrived. According to employees, everything was fine now. Officers observed the individuals as they walked along Saratoga Street. Officers further noted that the group was making an excessive amount of noise as they walked down the street. As officers made their way towards the group in an effort to ask them to quiet down, officers observed one member of the group start a fight with a passerby.
Specifically, officers observed both suspects bump into each other and then begin fighting.
When officers intervened and separated the parties, both individuals continued to yell and scream at each other in the presence of the officers. As a result, officers arrested both suspects and charged them both with Being Disorderly.
