“Drunk-walking” Lands Suspect in Jail for Breaking and Entering

Yesterday afternoon around 3:10PM, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to 406 Chelsea St. for a breaking and entering in progress.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that she was in her house when the suspect opened the front door to her apartment, walked in the apartment and stumbled down the hallway knocking down a picture frame off of the wall. Officers noticed that that both the female occupants of the apartment were visibly shaken, upset and frightened due to the suspect’s presence in their apartment.

Within seconds of entering the apartment, officers found the suspect. Officers noted that the suspect had a very strong odor of alcohol on his breath and when questioned as to what he was doing in the apartment, he stated that he could not explain how or why he had entered the apartment only that he had been drinking. The suspect, Andrew O. Olson, 29 of Boston was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering.
