Boston Police Homicide Unit Hosts Gathering For Families of Homicide Victims
In recognition of Survivors of Homicide Awareness Month (Nov. 20th-Dec. 20th), Police Commissioner Edward Davis and the Homicide Unit held the \”2nd Annual Survivors of Homicide Holiday Event\” on December 17th at the Reggie Lewis Center.
This event brings together community providers, government agencies and police investigators for a day of support and peace to surviving families of homicide victims during the holiday season. In loving remembrance, families designed ornaments to represent their loved ones and decorated the holiday trees. The children and sibilings of homicide victims were presented with gifts.
