At about 9:15am, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person falling of a scaffolding in the area of 10 Vining Street (Neville House). On arrival, officers observed Boston Fire and Boston EMS providing care and attention to a an individual, a worker for New England Scaffolding, who had fallen approximately 30 – 40 feet. According to witnesses, the victim fell after a falling plank struck the plank he was standing on causing it to break which resulted in his fall. The victim, a 23 year-old male, was transported to Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
