Three Stopped and Arrested for Stealing Stop Sign

Around 2:23AM today, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of Coleman and Quincy Streets for three individuals attempting to steal a city owned stop sign. The caller who did not provide a name stated that the three individuals could be seen removing the sign and provided a description of the suspects.

En route, officers were advised that the suspects had successfully removed the sign and were walking now walking towards Hamilton St. with the stop sign. Officers located the three suspects at the intersection of Bowdoin and Draper Streets and stopped them to further investigate. One of the suspects was observed carrying the stop sign, while the other was two were in possession of adjustable wrenches.  Officers had a conversation with the suspects and explained that they had created a hazardous situation by removing the sign. One of the suspects simply laughed after being advised of the possible consequences of their action.

The suspects, Ramsay M. Kamal, 21 of Winchester, James N. Jubinville, 22 of Lowell and Coleman M. Concannon, 20 of Dorchester were all arrested and charged with Larceny Over $250 and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
