At about 12:03am, on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) were on patrol in the area of 125 Harvard Ave when they observed two white males in the act of tagging or defacing property. Specifically, officers observed two white males spray painting graffiti on an exterior wall in the area of 125 Harvard Ave. 

When officers pulled up to the scene, both suspects took off on foot. After a foot pursuit, officers were able to catch up to and apprehend one of the two suspects. A frisk of the suspects enabled officers to locate and take possession of white work gloves and two cans of spray paint.

 Officers arrested Thad Parrish, 20, of Newton and charged him with Vandalism by Graffiti.
