On January 4, 2011 at approximately 2:11am, officers responded to 141 W. Newton Street in the South End for a report of a person shot. On arrival, officers located a deceased male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The male was pronounced at the scene and transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner who will determine the official cause and manner of death.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
The victim has been identified as Ali Reza Pahlavi, 45, of Boston.
