Boston Police Athletic League (PAL) Receives $7,500 from McGladrey Foundation.

On Thursday, December 30, 2010, the Boston Pal (Boston Police Athletic League) received a $7,500 donation from McGladrey and the McGladrey Foundation with proceeds raised at the recent McGladrey Culinary Challenge for Charity. The event paired seven charitable organizations with several well know Boston-area chefs and media personalities. Each of the seven participating non-profits received a $7,500 donation. Participating non-profits included Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, The Genesis Fund, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, The Jewish National Fund, The Lenny Zakim Fund, Special Olympics and the Boston Police Athletic League.

Said Neal Rossi, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boston Police Athletic League, “The McGladrey Culinary Challenge for Charity provided us a tremendous opportunity to raise awareness about our organization. It was a great evening and we’re pleased that those we serve will benefit from the generosity of those who shared their time, talent and financial resources through the event.” 

The event was attended by more than seven hundred guests, including Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis and Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald.
