Community Tip Leads to Execution of Warrant and Arrest of Drug Suspect

Last night around 6:50PM, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant at 65 Barnes Ave. and as a result arrested suspect, Daniel M. Deychman, 21 of East Boston and charged him Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs within 1,000’ of a School Zone, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Commission of a Felony while Armed.

Officers, as a result of the execution of the search, recovered the following items:

1)       A firearm

2)      Magazine with  ammunition

3)      Two digital scales

4)      One plastic bag containing ecstacy

5)      Two marijuana plants

6)      Over $2,000.00 in cash

7)      Two ledger notebooks

8)      A duffel bag with 7 pounds of marijuana and several other smaller bags of marijuana

Officers initially received information about marijuana distribution at 65 Barnes Ave, in October and subsequently started an investigation into this report. As a result of further investigation, officers gathered enough information that allowed them to secure a search warrant for the reported location. In the process of executing the search warrant another individual who was at the house was cited for Possession of Class D and another occupant of the house will be summonsed for charges related to the execution of the search warrant.
